The fruit is whole by design. Ground leaves release everything at once and then nothing. Whole fruit gives it back slowly.

300 ml of water just off the boil. The pyramid bag sits in the glass, tag over the rim. No strainer, no teapot, nothing else to wash.

Four minutes. Then longer.

At two minutes it is amber. At four it is garnet. Past six it gets darker and rounder. The colour is your timer, not the clock.

Steep it again.

Because nothing was crushed, the same bag carries a second, softer glass. Most people stop here. Try the second one before you throw it out.

Black goji黑枸杞: Small, dense and almost black. This is what turns the water garnet instead of brown.
Red goji红枸杞: The sweet one. It rounds off the tartness the mulberry brings in.
Mulberry桑葚: Deep, almost wine-like. This is the note you will remember a minute after the glass is finished.
Red date红枣: Sliced, not pulverised. Warm and round, the way a date is supposed to taste.
Rock sugar冰糖: One small cube per bag. Enough to soften the edges, not enough to taste like a soft drink.

What this is not

Not a supplement. It is a food. No capsule, no extract, no concentrate, no measured dose of anything.
Not for children, and not for anyone pregnant or nursing. The pouch says so, and we agree with it.
Not low in sugar. Every sachet carries one small cube of rock sugar. If you count sugar, count this.
Not a substitute for a doctor. If you take medication or manage a condition, ask before adding any herbal drink to your routine.
Not a fix for being tired. It has no caffeine. A glass at midnight will not make tomorrow easier.

Do I need a teapot or a strainer?

No. The fruit is already sealed in a pyramid bag with a thread and a tag. Drop it in a glass, a mug or a thermos, take the tag over the rim, and pull it out by the tag when you are done.

Is there caffeine in it?

No. Black goji, red goji, mulberry, red date and rock sugar are all caffeine-free. This is an infusion, not a leaf tea.

How many glasses does one box make?

Ten sachets, so ten full glasses. Because nothing was crushed, each bag also gives a decent second steep, which is why some people count a box as up to twenty lighter ones.

How sweet is it?

Lightly. One small rock-sugar cube per bag, sealed in with the fruit rather than added afterwards. There is no unsweetened version of this product.

Where does it ship from, and how long does it take?

From our packing partner in Bozhou, Anhui. Orders leave in two to three business days. Shipping is free and tracked, usually ten to eighteen days to the United States, the United Kingdom and the EU. Remote regions take longer, and we would rather tell you that now than after you have paid.

Can I drink it cold?

Yes, and it is a different drink. Two sachets in 500 ml of cold water, into the fridge overnight, eight hours minimum. It comes out softer and less sweet, closer to a cold fruit infusion than a tea.

What if I do not like it?

Write to us within thirty days of receiving it and we refund the box. You do not have to send the tea back. That is easier for you and cheaper for us than a return.
